Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham postponed yet again; New release date announced
In what comes as a huge disappointment for Malayali cinephiles, it has been announced that the release of ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’ has been pushed further. While it was scheduled to hit screens on May 13, the makers have decided to postpone it to August 12. The second wave of pandemic which is wreaking havoc in the county has forced the change in plans.
‘Marakkar’ was originally planned as a March 2020 release. However, days before its release, the pandemic situation worsened and release got cancelled. The makers will be hoping that things get better by August so that they won’t have to postpone the release any further.
Directed by Priyadarshan, ‘Marakkar’ is an action-epic made on a massive scale. Superstar Mohanlal plays the titular role of role of Kunjali Marakkar IV, who is regarded as India’s first naval chieftain. Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Priyadarshan, Pranav Mohanlal, Ashok Selvan, Prabhu and many others are part of the star-studded cast.
