The satellite right was sold to Asianet for a record price of 6.5 crore and the film had remade in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu as well. The film had created record by collecting above 1 crore from both USA and UK and it was the first ever instance of a Malayalam film doing that kind of business outside. In UAE also it equals the record of Titanic by running 100 days there as well and in Kerala in had ran around 180 days.
