According to the latest news the satellite right of his film Premam almost yielded Rs 5 crore and a popular channel is offering 5 crore rupees for Premam which is great amount for a Young actor film. There has been great competition among some popular channels to buy the satellite rights of the popular hit but producer not yet sold its rights as he feels that it can get more as the competition tightens.
Only Mohanlal, Mammootty and Dileep films gets rupees more than 5 crore as satellite right in Mollywood and this is the first time that a young actor film getting that much money as satellite right for his film. According to reports except Mohanlal now no one gets that much money as the star value of Mammootty and Dileep had become low with last few years series of failures.
The record satellite amount in Mollywood till now is got by Drishyam which is the biggest ever hit of Mollywood. Drishyam has got a satellite right of rupees 6.5 crores from Asianet. There is news is that Mohanlal’s last film Laila O Laila has been bought by Mazhavil Manorama for a record satellite right of more than 7 crores. But that was not yet a confirmed news.
And also distributors are ready to give around 2.5 crore to a nivin pauly film and that we only seen with Mohanlal, Mammootty films. Even for the films of Prithviraj, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahad Fazil, Asif Ali etc distributors are not ready to give that much money. And also Nivin’s remuneration was 75 lakhs prior to the release of Premam and now it seems to be touched 1 crore as financers ready to give that much amount to him, that is too the highest among the young stars. The overseas rights of his films too become almost 50 lakhs as well. Nivin’s star value going sky high now more than ever.
