The very recent buzz from the Bollywood is that they are going to start a new biographical cinema on the life of our former President, APJ Abdul Kalam which will soon get to see the limelight. The movie is said to be directed by Nila Madhab Panda who directed I am Kalam (2011). I Am Kalam was one of the most critically acclaimed movie of the year which won a lot of awards and also was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010.I Am Kalam was based on the subject of one’s dream. As a follower of Kalam, it’s rumored that Nila Madhab Panda would be the best choice for this movie.
Another interesting news is that the role of Abdul Kalam would be portrayed by none other than the angry young man of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan. He would be worth the role in every way as an actor for this role. The movie will be focusing more on the tough times of Abdul Kalam and his striving journey. At present, Nila Madhab Panda is working on his magnum opus Kaun Kitney Panee Mein starring Kunal Kapoor, Radhika Apte, Gulshan Grover and Saurabh Shukla. This film is produced by One Drop Foundation, Montreal and the film is set to release on 28th August this year. After this project Panda will be working on and researching more on the life of Abdul Kalam to have a better vision on how the movie will turn out. He also strongly believes that Kalam will always be with us.
A.P.J is a man who needs no preface for any Indians, he was ‘People’s President’ and was one of the greatest scientists, teachers, motivators and inspiring figures the country has ever seen. Abdul Kalam passed away on 27th of July this year after collapsing during his lecture at IIM Shillong. The life of Abdul Kalam is hence a textbook for every citizen on this globe for his commitment and dedication. As a man who has contributed more than enough for the country, this movie would be a great tribute to this exceptional personality.
