Director Shibu Gangadharan had said in his social media page that the rumours that his upcoming film with Suresh Gopi, scripted by Sunil Parameshwaran, which was titled as ‘Rudra Simhaasanam’ was the sequel of ‘Ananthabhadram’ was completely false. Ananthabhadram was a 2005 film directed by Master cinematographer Santhosh Sivan and scripted by Sunil Parameshwaran. Prithviraj, Kavya Madhavan, Manoj K Jayan and Kalabhavan Mani played the lead characters in that movie.
When Sunil Parameshwaran and Shibu Gangadharan had announced the project Rudra Simhasanam, online medias spread the news that it is going to be the second part of Ananthabhadram as Sunil Parameshwaran is doing the script of the film. At the time of Ananthabhadram there was a buzz that there will be a sequel to that movie in the coming years. When this project had announced with Sunil Parameshwaran doing the script, a false impression had fell in the social medias and online medias that it will be the so talked about Sequel of Ananthabhadram. Any way the director himself had come out and cleared the air that Rudra Simhasanam had nothing to to do with Ananthabhadram and it will be a fresh film.
Super star and our action star Suresh Gopi who is fresh with the success of his film ‘Dolphins’ which got tremendous applause from the audience and good reception at box office, will do the lead in this film. Vellimoonga and 1983 film fame Nikki Galrani will be the heroine in the film and it also has Nedumudi Venu and Sudheer Karaman in key roles.
Early in 2014, Shibu Gangadharan had made his Debut with ‘Praise The Lord’, with a huge star cast including Mega star Mammootty and popular actor Mukesh. But the film failed at the box office. Suresh Gopi once again is in busy mode with lot of projects waiting for him. His currently doing the film ‘My God’ directed by M.Mohanan. The film has Honey rose as the female lead and they also roped in Vineeth Sreenivasan to play an important character in the film.
