The report coming in that Super hit director and successful producer Anwar Rasheed is all set to wear the director’s cap again after a short break. As per report Anwar Rasheed will start the shooting of his next film in next month and the male lead of the film will be none other than young actor Fahad Fazil. Fahad is completed Dileesh Pothen’s Maheshinte Prathikaram. Anwar Rasheed is a director who had made all his films super hit. He started with Mammootty starrer flick Raja Manikyam which had become the industry hit in 2005. In 200t he backed it up with another mega success with Mohanlal in the lead and the film was Chotta Mumbai. Next year he came again with Mammootty with the film Annan Thambi which was also a mega hit. Then he directed the film named Usthad Hotel with Dulquar Salman in the lead which was scripted by Anjali Menon. It was a big success of that time. In between he also directed a film named Bridge which was one segment of the anthology film titled Kerala Cafe. Bridge is appreciated as the best segment in that anthology film and Anwar got great applauds as a director for that film.

In 2014, he made his debut as a financer in association with Weekend Blockbusters owned by Sophia Paul. The film was Anjali Menon directorial Bangalore Days and it was a great success as well. At that time it become the second highest grosser behind Drishyam. Last year he again strike gold as a producer as his venture named Premam directed by Alphonse Puthren had become the second highest grosser beating his own venture Bangalore Days.
Now everybody is hoping that he will repeat his magic as a director again and will give a new life to Fahad Fazil who is going through a lean patch in recent times.
