Priyadarshan reveals the story of Mohanlal’s Oppam
The filming of Oppam, directed by the master craftsman Priyadarshan and starred by Mohanlal is going on smoothly at Tripunithura, Kochi right now. Mohanlal and Priyadarshan is working together after 2 years and this time they are coming up with a crime thriller. Usually most of their flicks were comedy films and they had given so many super success making comedy films. But this time they are going for something very different from their usual pattern.
The film is produced by Antony Perumabavoor, under the most popular banner in Mollywood right now, Ashirvad Cinemas. Priyadarshan wrote the screenplay and dialogues for the story written by a new face named Govind Vijayan. Now, Priyadarshan reveals the one line story of his film Oppam to the media.

Priyadarshan says that the plot of the film revolves around a character named Jayaraman, who is blind. He is a lift operator in a flat where many big shots were living. Jayaraman has the unique ability like many blind people to sense things using smell, sound and touch. But that lands him in a real trouble at one situation and the film tells how it goes forward. Mohanlal plays the character of blind man Jayaraman. Artists like Mamukkoya and Kanaran Harish is playing the security workers in that flat and their names are Kunjikka and Veeran respectively.
Priyadarshan had shot a song within 3 days for the film recently. It was a Punjabi type song which showcases the marriage celebrations of a Punjabi family residing in that flat. Artists like Vimala Raman, Arjun Nandakumar, Mamukkoya, Kanaran Harish, Sona, Kalashala Babu, Edavela Babu, Krishna Prasad, Anwar, Sreelatha, Bindu Murali, Nandhu Pothuval etc had took part in the song shoot.
Artists like Nedumudi Venu, Samudrakkani, Kalabhavan Shajon, Aju Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, Anusree, Balaji, Anas, Benny, Madan Mohan, Sreeya Ramesh etc also playing important roles in this film. Music was composed for this film by Four Music team and DOP is by Ekambaram. Ayyappan Nair is the editor of this flick and Rafeeq Ahammad and Madhu Vasudev had penned the lyrics for this film.
