The annual cultural festival of NITC (The National Institute Of Technology Calicut) is on its way this year. The National Institute Of Technology Calicut, in the 54 years of its existence, has established itself as a pioneer in the field of engineering and technical studies. The institute has been a hub for many international activities and has made its mark in the global scene.
The Ragam Festival is one of the topmost cultural festival in our country and one of the biggest crowd pulling events that is occurring in South-India. There are many challenging events, shows which are highly entertaining, great performances from great artists from various fields and also had innovative exhibitions, workshops etc which makes this festival a rare and special one in our state. Almost 1200 colleges across India participates in this festival and Ragam witnesses a footfall close to 10,000 with the number increasing each year.
Take One Short Film Competition conducted as a part of Ragam is South India’s largest in its kind, in terms of number of entries and prizes offered. At Ragam 2015scheduled to be conducted on March 26 to 29, we intend to take Take One to a higher lever by organizing film related workshops, exhibitions, seminars and ‘coffee with sessions’ with prominent persons in the field and screening of selected films featured in International Film Festivals. Previous TakeOne festivals featured Boby Sanjay, Rajesh Pillai, Anjali Menon, Arun Kumar Aravind &Jayaraj as judges.
Ragam Festival always have great reach in Kerala as well as outside Kerala. They have a wide network which reaches out to people in every district in Kerala through their Ragam site and Ragam Facebook page. The pro shows conducted by them during the festival attract thousands of people every year and this year will not be no different. The reach they have for their workshop and events through online medias and their own promotional methods made it a cultural festival to look forward to and it will be a great platform and opportunity to young and aspiring talents to showcase their talents and skills.
