Dulquer Salmaan all set to create a record in Ernakulam Multiplexes
Young Mollywood star Dulquer Salmaan is now eyeing a new record as he is all set to create a new record at the Multiplexes of Ernakulam. His latest film Kammattipadam by Rajeev Ravi is inching towards the 1 crore mark in the Multiplexes of Ernakulam and if he does it, it will be his 7th one crore grossing movie there. He had done it 6 times before and with this movie, if it get there, he will surpass stars like Nivin Pauly and Prithviraj who had 6 one crore grossing films there.
Kammattipadam now needs less than 50 thousand rupees to touch that mark and set a new record for Dulquer Salmaan. Earlier his movies like Ustad Hotel by Anwar Rasheed, ABCD by Martin Prakkatt, Bangalore days by Anjali Menon, Vikramadithyan by Lal Jose, Charlie by Martin Prakatt and Kali by Sameer Thahir had achieved this feat there in the multiplexes of Ernakulam and some among them even touched the 2 crore mark there as well.
The movie which collected the highest gross from Ernakulam Multiplexes is a Hollywood film named Jungle Book. It had grossed over 3.5 crore from there. Nivin Pauly’s Premam is the highest grossing Malayalam Movie from there, which grossed around 2.85 crore from there as per reports. His latest film Jacobinte Swarga Rajyam also grossed near that amount.
