An online market place for Mollywood named Filmcoco is introduced
Online movie release is now started to make its impact in Mollywood and films like Ranjith directorial Leela had experimented with online release along with its theatrical release as well. It was indeed a success as the response from the audience was great. Now an online movie marketplace has been introduced to Mollywood by a Swedish based company lead by foreign Malayalees. The company is Pilladia AB and the platform is named as Filmcoco (www.filmcoco.com). Through this online platform, a Malayalam movie will reach to more than 30 lakh Global resident Malayali movie lovers.
The movies will be securely hosted and that too through Amazon Web service with HD clarity and 5.1 surrounding sound quality. The movies will be available for the viewers at anytime, anywhere and on any device as well. The content owner can fix his own price while uploading the copy righted content in this website and he can receive the payment directly as well. Detailed sales report will be available for the content owners if he wants it.
The players in the site is designed with DRM protection to prevent unauthorized reproduction of the content that is uploaded in it. The content owners can control and manage the release of their content according to their wish using a geo blocking facility. Short films, Documentaries etc also can upload in it.
