Mohanlal-Vysakh-Udayakrishna : Pulimurugan team join again
On New Year’s day, director Vysakh has announced some huge projects with many of the top stars from the industry like Mohanlal, Mammootty, Jayaram, Dileep and Dulquer Salmaan. The most exciting of the lot is the one with Mohanlal plainly beacuse of the fact that Pulimurugan team is joining again.
This yet to be titled movie will also be a mass entertainer written by Udhayakrishna. Antony Perumbavoor is producing this movie under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas. More details regarding the remaining cast and crew will be announced in the coming days.
The trio Mohanlal-Vysakh-Udhyakrishna scripted history with Pulimurugan. The action packed mass entertainer became the first Malayalam movie ever to enter the 100 crore club. Released on October 7 during the Pooja holidays, the movie shattered several preexisting box office records.
Pulimurugan is still continuing it’s glorious run in 144 centres in Kerala. It is also the highest grossing Malayalam movie from the overseas centres. The movie created history by running in 80 release centres even when it is nearing the 100th day of theatrical run. Recently the movie also crossed the 150 crore mark.

Pulimurugan was dubbed and released in Telugu as Manyam Puli on December 2nd. The movie opened to huge numbers in the Tollywood box office registering around 5 crores from the first day itself. It was declared as a superhit by the Telugu media. There are also plans to dub the movie in Tamil, Kannada, English, Chinese and Vietnamese languages. Hindi remake for Pulimurugan is also on the cards.
Vysakh has announced his next with Mohanlal before the Pulimurugan wave could settle in. With Mohanlal’s Aashirvad Cinemas funding the project expectations have risen to to a new high.
