The Great Father motion poster crosses the 10 lakh mark
Motion poster for Megastar Mammootty’s upcoming release The Great Father is trending virally in social medias. The 55 second video has now been watched by 10 lakh people. This is an incredible achievement considering the usual response for motion posters in Mollywood.
Earlier the video set a new record in South Indian cinema with the likes count in YouTube. It has already fetched over 41,000 likes. It exceeded the record previously held by Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Kaththi. Motion poster for the Vijay starrer has a lifetime likes count of 36,379.
The Great Father’s motion poster has also gone past the life time count of Indian cinema’s one of the most expected movie Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
In today’s scenario, social media response in platforms like YouTube have considerable impact on the publicity of the movie. YouTube views and likes also gives us an idea about the anticipation levels for the movie among the public.
The Great Father is written and directed by debutant Haneef Adeni. The movie features Kollywood actor Arya, Sneha, Shaam, Malavika Mohanan, IM Vijayan, Manikandan Achari and Baby Anikha in prominent characters.
Mammootty is playing the character David Nainan while Sneha is essaying his wife Michelle David’s role. Arya is speculated to play the villain in the movie. His character is named as Andrews Eapen. From the motion poster, the movie is believed to be a revenge drama.
