Pranav Mohanlal, son of the most loved Malayalam actor Mohanlal is not to acting career as of now. Some days earlier there has been news spreading in social medias that Pranav Mohanlal will be the hero of the upcoming Mollywood project IDI-Inspector Dawood Ibrahim directing by Arouse Irfan and Sajid Yahia. The news spread that Pranav will be gearing up for a grand entry into Mollywood with an action Comedy flick and it will be IDI by the newcomer director duo.
But sources close to Pranav said that Pranav had no such plans as of now and he is been concentrating on direction. Pranav is currently working as an assistant director of hit maker Jeethu Joseph in his latest film Life Of Josootty starring Dileep. This is Pranav’s second film with Jeethu Joseph as he was Jeethu’s assistant in Tamil film Paapanaasham, which was the official Tamil remake of Drishyam, the biggest ever success Mollywood has seen. Mohanlal fans and many other people were eager to see Pranav on screen and the news was become so popular due to this eagerness. Anyway all the fake news spreading was now at rest as Pranav’s close circle itself reveled that Pranav is not coming to acting profession as of now.
But pranav had acted in 3 films in Mollywood. He had acted in a film directed by Major Ravi named Punarjani and won the state award for the best child artist for the performance in that film. His next one was the film Onnaman directed by master director Thampi Kannanthanam , in which he played the childhood role of none other than his father Mohanlal. And Pranav’s last appearance on screen was in Sagar Alias Jacky directed by Amal Neerad in which he just appeared in one scene in a song sequence along with Mohanlal.
Then on people are speculating about his entry to Mollywood following his father’s footsteps. Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan and Jayaram’s son Kalidasan has come to acting profession and that too made people think and talk so much about Pranav’s entry to acting profession as he is the son of arguably the greatest living actor in our country today.
