Dulquer Salmaan’s elated to see Vinayakan and Manikandan Achari win awards
It’s been almost one year since the release of Rajeev Ravi’s Kammattipaadam, but the movie still does not fail to be among the topic of discussions social media forums. The movie from the outset looks like a gangster drama but it had many underlying layers that discussed about the discrimination faced by the Dalit community and showcased the reality of how Kochi city was urbanised on the grounds of Kammattipaadam. The layered narrative, top-notch detailing and the stunning performances from the lead caste were highly appreciated.
Though Dulquer Salmaan was the main lead in the movie, it was the supporting actors Vinayakan and Manikandan Achari who were showered with rave reviews for their performances. They won the hearts of the audience with their earnest portrayal of the downtrodden, Ganga and Balan. Dulquer himself has earlier admitted them to be the real heroes of the movie.
