Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan watches Sakhavu with family
Nivin Pauly’s latest outing Sakhavu has successfully entered it’s second week of theatrical run. The movie, directed by National award winner Sidharth Siva, continues to get good response from the audience.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan recently watched the movie along with his family in the capital city. CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Thiruvananthapuram mayor VK Prashanth, AK Saseendran and VKC Mammed Koya MLA also joined the Cheif Minister for watching the movie.
Director Sidhartha Siva and some other crew members were also present for the show. They welcomed the leaders and were seen exchanging pleasantries.
Sakhavu is a political movie centered around the lives of two contrasting communist leaders- Sakhavu Krishnan, an yesteryear role model comrade and Krishna Kumar, an opportunistic young gen leader. Nivin Pauly played dual roles in the movie. The portrayal of Sakhavu Krishnan was highly challenging and critics have rated it as one of his best ever performances.
Aparna Gopinath, Aishwarya Rajesh, Gayathri Suresh, Sreenivasan, Binu Pappu, Sudheesh, Althaf, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Baiju and many others are also part of the cast.
Sakhavu is not just a political drama, it is a clean commercial entertainer that can be enjoyed by auidence of all age groups. The movie is bank rolled by B Rakesh under the banner Universal Cinema.
