Tovino Thomas to start shooting for Aashiq Abu’s next
Tovino Thomas is riding on the smashing success of Oru Mexican Aparatha. Over the past few months, the actor has made rapid strides to become one of the top actors from the younger generation.
The actor will soon start shooting for promising young filmmaker Aashiq Abu’s next. The movie is touted to be a love story and is based on director Amal Neerad’s story. Dileesh Nair and Shyam Pushkar are scripting this film.
The duo have earlier teamed up with Aashiq Abu for movies like Salt n Pepper, Idduki Gold and Da Thadiya. Shyam Pushkaran last wrote the screenplay for Fahadh Faasil’s blockbuster movie Maheshinte Prathikaram, which was produced by Aashiq Abu.
This yet to be titled movie will be jointly produced by Aashiq Abu’s OPM Dream Mil Cinemas and Amal Neerad’s banner Amal Neerad Productions. A newcomer will be playing the female lead. Tovino will soon join the sets in Madurai.
The actor meanwhile is shooting for Dominic Arun’s black comedy. He plays a suspended cop in the dark comedy, which also stars Balu Varghese and Sijoy Varghese in prominent roles. Tovino Thomas’ next release will be Godha, directed by Basil Joseph of Kunjiramayanam fame. He has also signed for his debut Tamil movie which is directed by cinematographer turned filmmaker B R Vijayalakshmi.
