Jeethu Joseph, the most valuable director in Mollywood now, the latest super star among Mollywood directors had come out clean in the Drishyam plagiarism case which was in the courts for a while. It was Satheesh Paul, the director of the Malayalam film named Finger Print which was got released in 2005 had filed the case against Jeethu Joseph that he had created Drishyam from copying contents from the book named Oru Mazhakaalathau written by him.
But after examining all the proofs submitted before the court and analyzing it , the honorable court has declared that there was no such issues like plagiarism regarding the content of Drishyam and the court declared that Jeethu Joseph was clean and innocent in the case.
Jeethu told that he knew that he will win the case because truth was on his side and he had all the confidence in the world when he has nothing to hide and standing by the side of honesty. Jeethu also told to the media that he will file a case against Satheesh Paul for defaming him with false accusations and will demand compensation from him for doing so.
It was in last year that Satheesh Paul had filed the case against Jeethu Joseph about the copyright violation of his intellectual property. Drishyam is now the biggest ever success Malayalam cinema has ever seen in its whole history and the film has made such an impact that some section of critics says that Malayalam cinema can be studied dividing its history into two; before Drishyam and after Drishyam. It has collected more than 50 crore rupees from theaters alone and its total revenue id said to be touched 75 crore mark which is the Everest of box office collection for Mollywood now, a mark almost impossible to conquer for coming films.
The film’s huge success owe to 2 persons. One is the director and script writer Jeethu Joseph and the second one is the Complete actor of Indian cinema and the Universal star of Mollywood, Mohanlal whose unbelievable and out of the world crowd pulling capacity and star value has made this unthinkable feet possible for Mollywood. The film is already remade in Telugu and Kannada. The Tamil version will release soon and Hindi version also going to start soon according to reports.
