A movie based on Kochi metro; Rima Kallingal to play the lead in Arabi Kadalinte Rani- The Metro Woman
As we are just hours away from the inaguration of Kerala’s dream project- Kochi metro, here is a happy news for all cine lovers out there. A movie is being made based on Kochi metro with Rima Kallingal in the lead role. The movie titled as Arabi Kadalinte Rani- The Metro Woman, is directed by M Padmakumar and scriptwriter Suresh Babu. The latter has also co-written the movie with MU Pradeep.
Kochi Metro’s top advisor E Sreedharan is popularly known as ‘Metro Man’. This movie is about a woman’s huge admiration for the metro man and her attempts to meet him. Rima Kallingal is playing the protagonist’s role of PK Lalitha, a sales girl who hails from Tripunithura.
Anoop Menon, Alencier Ley Lopez, Arun Narayan, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Srinda Arhaan and Sheelu Abraham are also part of the cast. A prominent actor from Mollywood is playing the role of metro man, who is named as E Madhavan in the film.
Veteran cinematographer Madhu Neelakandan has been roped in to crank the camera. Vinod Sukumaran will be editing the movie. The movie will be officially launched tomorrow on the occasion of Kochi Metro’s opening to the public. VJ Films International is producing this movie.
