Kalpana’s daughter Sreemayi wishes to learn acting!
It’s been over an year since actress Kalpana shockingly left to the heavenly abode. She will be remembered by the Malayali audience for a long time thanks to a number of memorable performances.
Kalpana comes from a family of actors. Her two sisters, Kalaranjini and Urvashi are very popular, especially the latter who is still doing solid roles in Malayalam and Tamil. Another member from the family is planning to take up a career in acting.
Kalpana’s daughter Sreemayi has expressed her wish to learn acting academically. The 17 year old, in a recent interview said that she along with her grandmother is moving to Chennai and she wishes to join an acting course there. Her family have also been supportive and she is just hoping for a good character to come across.

Earlier in an interview also Sreemayi had mentioned that she would be doing a course in cinema after completing her pre-university course, and that her acting debut will then depend upon the quality of projects that come her way.
