Ramaleela gearing up as Dileep’s biggest release till date!
The release of Ramaleela has been a major talking point in the Malayalam film industry. Ever since it’s lead actor Dileep was arrested on charges of criminal conspiracy in the actress abduction case, there were many speculations about the release date. Follwing his arrest on July 10, the makers had stalled the release for the issue to settle down. There were reports about Ramaleela releasing for Onam, only to be denied later by producer Tomichan Mulakupadam.
Finally, the makers have confirmed that the movie will be hitting screens on September 28. Apparently, Ramaleela is getting ready as Dileep’s biggest release till date. The actor’s fans along with the makers are trying to ensure that the arrest and subsequent events does not have much of an impact on the movie’s theatrical run. Incidentally, this is also the most expensive movie in Dileep’s two decade long career.
Ramaleela marks the directorial debut of ad filmmaker Arun Gopi. The movie scripted by Sachi is a political thriller told in which Dileep plays the role of Ramanunni. Prayaga Rose Martin is playing the female lead opposite Dileep. Veteran Kollywood actress Radhika Sarathkumar is making a comeback to Kollywood after two decades with this movie. Renji Panicker is also playing a pivotal role.
Director Arun Gopi and his team firmly believe that the Malayali audience will support Ramaleela irrespective of all other issues unrelated to the movie.
