After Doubles, Sohan Seenulal to direct Mammootty once again!
Mammootty is currently busy with the final leg of shoot of Ajai Vasudev’s Masterpiece. He will be soon joining the sets of Uncle, which is to be directed by debutant Gireesh Damodar. Apart from the above mentioned movies, Mammootty has also committed for a handful of other projects.
If reports are to be believed, Mammootty has signed for a new film with director-turned-actor Sohan Seenulal. The latter made his directorial debut in 2011 with Doubles, which also had Mammootty in the lead role. The movie, scripted by Sachi-Sethu was a disappointing affair at the box office.
Kendra Sahitya Akademi winner PV Shaji Kumar is scripting Mammootty’s upcoming movie with Sohan Seenulal. The writer has previously collaborated with Mammootty in Ranjith’s Puthan Panam, where he helped the veteran star with the Kasargod dialect. Shaji Kumar has also worked in the scripting of couple of widely acclaimed movies – Kanyaka Talkies and Take Off.
More details regarding the Mammootty-Sohan Seenulal movie is not yet known. The duo will certainly be trying hard to get over their disappointing first outing and deliver a quality film this time. We still wait for an official confirmation from either side.
Cinematographer Shamdat’s debut directorial Streetlights, ad filmmaker Sharrath Sandith’s Parole, scriptwriter Sethu’s Kozhithankachan and Shaji Padoor’s Abrahaminte Santhathikal : A Police Story are some of the other projects in Mammootty’s kitty.
