Will Indian 2 be Kamal Haasan’s last movie?
For the past few months, Kamal Haasan has been in the news continuously for various reasons. His small screen stint with the Big Boss show earned him both bouquets and brickbats. Cases were filed against him by some fringe groups alleging that he hurt the Tamil culture by promoting shows like Big Boss.
In between that, Kamal was in severe criticism of the Tamil Nadu government and the ugly turn of events within the ruling party. Ever since then, Kamal has been vocal about his much talked about entry to the political arena. His meetings with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal were constantly reported by the medias.
When everyone thought that Kamal is all set to plunge into politics, he pulled out a surprise in the form of Indian 2. During the recently aired finale of Big Boss, the official announcement of a sequel to the 1995 cult classic Indian was made by Kamal in the presence of director Shankar and producer Dil Raju. They are planning to start shoot by next year after Kamal and Shankar are free from their respective commitments.
Kamal’s spokesperson recently said, “Shankar had a meeting with Kamal a few days ago. The film is likely to take off only after Shankar wraps up 2.0 and Kamal completes his Sabash Naidu and Naidu and Vishwaroopam 2.”
Meanwhile, talks are abuzz in social medias about Indian 2 being Kamal Haasan’s last movie before he enters politics full time. Eventhough the veteran star has not confirmed taking any such decision, talks in social medias suggest that it would be his last movie. Before jumping into conclusions, let’s wait for an official word from the man himself.
