Mammootty’s Abrahaminte Santhathikal to start rolling from January!
Earlier this year on Mammootty’s birthday, it was announced that he will be teaming up with Haneef Adeni of The Great Father fame for a cop action thriller. Haneef is scripting this movie titled as Abrahaminte Santhathikal – A Police Story. The movie marks the maiden directorial venture of Shaji Padoor, a veteran who has been in the industry for over two decades as an associate director.
As per latest reports from trustworthy sources, Abrahaminte Santhathikal will go on floors on the 1st of January. Joby George is funding this movie under the banner of Goodwill Entertainment.
Mammootty will be travelling to China next week for a short vacation with family. After his return, he will finish dubbing for Gireesh Damodar’s Uncle and Sharrath Sandith’s Parole. He is expected to join the sets of Abrahaminte Santhathikal with a new look.
Reportedly, Mammootty will be seen as an extremely stylish police officer in the movie. Though he has done cop acts in several movies, the makers claim it to be a very different from the ones he has done so far. It will be an entertainer that can be enjoyed by both his fans and the family audiences.
Mammootty has played several police characters in his career like the iconic Balram from Avanazhi and Perumal from August 1. Some of the other films where he donned the khakis are Yavanika, Kariyila Kaatu Pole, Rakshasarajavu and Roudram. He was last seen as a police officer in Kasaba, directed by Nithin Renji Panicker.
Incidentally, Mammootty is playing a police officer in another upcoming movie titled as Streetlights, directed by noted cinematographer Shamdat Sainudeen. The megastar’s next release is Ajai Vasudev’s Masterpiece, slated to hit screens for December 21.
