Odiyan last schedule kick-starts today!
After a two month long gap, shoot for Mohanlal’s upcoming movie Odiyan has resumed today in Palakkad. This third and final schedule was supposed to start last month but got pushed due to Mohanlal’s other commitments. A crew of over 100 people, including the artists and the technicians, will be sweating it out for the next two months.
Odiyan directed by VA Shrikumar Menon has Mohanlal, Manju Warrier and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. National award winner Harikrishnan has scripted the movie based on the life of odiyans. The movie is primarily about Odividya, a kind of black magic and people who practice it, called odiyans.
While Mohanlal plays Odiyan Manikyan, Manju Warrier essays the role of Prabha and Prakash Raj’s character is named Ravunni. The movie’s story is set in three different timelines starting from the pre-electricty days in the 1950s to 2000. It follows Manikyan’s life from his childhood to his 60s.
In this upcoming schedule, the younger versions of three lead characters will be shot. All three of them – Mohanlal, Manju Warrier and Prakash Raj – will be appearing in multiple looks in the movie. Taking everyone by surprise, Mohanlal had reduced around 18 kilos to play the younger version of his character Manikyan. The star’s fans are eagerly waiting to see him as Odiyan Manikyan on-screen.
Actors like Innocent, Sana Althaf, Kailas, Naren and Siddique are also part of this ongoing schedule. Aashirvad Cinemas headed by Antony Perumbavoor is funding this big budget movie.
