Guinness Pakru to play the lead in ‘Apothecary’ fame Madhav Ramdasan’s Ilayaraja!
Recently, we had reported about director Madhav Ramdasan making a comeback with a movie titled ‘Ilayaraja’. Piquing the curiosity of the audience with an intriguing poster, the director last day announced that Ajay Kumar a.k.a Guinness Pakru is playing the lead in the movie. Movie Musical Cutz is presenting the movie, which is scheduled to go on floors in April.
Madhav Ramdasan has directed two movies to his credit – Melvilasom and Apothecary. Both the movies were widely acclaimed with Melvilasom even getting selected for screening at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival.
Melvilasom, released in 2012, was movie based on a Hindi play ‘Court Martial’. With only a handful of characters, the director came up with a riveting court room drama. Partheipan, Suresh Gopi and Thalaivasal Vijay played the major roles in the movie which went on to garner rave reviews from the critics.
Three years later in 2014, Madhav Ramdasan’s next Apothecary was released. Suresh Gopi, Jayasurya and Abhirami played the lead roles in the movie, which was a medical thriller. The film received a special jury mention in the 45th Kerala State Film Awards for actor Indrans and producer George Mathew.
When Madhav Ramdasan makes a comeback after four years with Ilayaraja, cinephiles are hoping to see another quality film from him. Guinness Pakru is a highly talented actor as he have seen from his performances in movies like My Big Father and Athbhutha Dweepu. As Madhav Ramdasan is well known for extracting the best out of his actors, we can expect to see nothing short of a stellar act from Pakru.
