Extraordinary opening for Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil
Antony Varghese’s new movie Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil was released last day to overwhelming response from the audience. The movie was met with positive reviews from the critics as well as the commoners. Tinu Pappachan, a former associate of Lijo Jose Pellissery has directed this movie.
As per latest reports from our sources, the movie has grossed over Rs 1.50 crores from its first day theatrical run in Kerala. This is a huge figure considering the lack of big names and the fact that it was facing stiff competition from other Easter releases.
Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil scripted by newcomer Dileep Kurian is perhaps the first ever full length prison-break movie in Malayalam cinema. Tinu Pappachan’s uniquely stylish making backed with good performances from the lead actors make the movie a clear winner.
Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Rajesh Sharma, Tito Wilson, a few actors from Angamaly Diaries and a bunch of newcomers are part of the movie’s supporting cast. Director Lijo Jose Pellissery is also there in a crucial cameo role. The movie has its cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and edits by Shameer Mohammed. Songs are composed by Jakes Bejoy and Deepak Alexander has handled the background score.
Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil is produced by BC Joshi and is presented by director B Unnikrishnan. Lijo Jose Pellissery and Chemban Vinod Jose are also part of the team as co-producers.
