Ramesh Pisharody’s next directorial to have Mammootty in the lead?
Ramesh Pisharody is very popular among Malayalis for his anchoring skills and his spontaneous humour timing. Eventhough, he has acted only in a very few films, his TV anchoring and performance in various stage shows has made him an audience favorite. He turned a director earlier this year with the comedy entertainer ‘Panchavarnathatha’ starring Jayaram and Kunchacko Boban in the lead roles. Hitting screens during the Vishu season in April, the movie emerged as a big hit at the box office.
After the release of Panchavarnathatha, Pisharody had made it clear that he is planning to take up direction seriously and has started working on his next. Lately, there is a buzz going around in social medias suggesting that his next film will be with none other than megastar Mammootty. If these reports are to be believed, Anto Joseph will be producing the movie under his banner Anto Joseph Film Company. The authenticity of these reports are not yet known as neither of them have clarified it. But it will be really interesting if such a project materializes.
Mammootty meanwhile has a busy schedule ahead of him with a handful of projects in his kitty. He is currently shooting in Hyderabad for his Telugu film Yatra, in which he plays the role of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajashekara Reddy. He will be joining the third schedule of his period flick Mamankam next month. Raja 2 with Vysakh is also set to go on floors shortly.
