9 all set for a grand worldwide release; Check out the theatre lists
The much-awaited Prithviraj starrer is finally hitting screens tomorrow (February 7). The movie is having a simultaneous release worldwide. With 65 locations in GCC, it is also the biggest release for a Malayalam movie. 9 marks the maiden venture of Prithviraj Productions. Sony Pictures International Productions are also making an entry to Malayalam industry with this movie.
9 directed by Jenuse Mohamed promises to be a first of its kind experience for the Malayali audience. According to the makers, it is a film with elements of horror, psychological thriller and science fiction. According to Prithviraj, it is hard to bracket 9 to one particular genre. It has several layers and concepts but at the core of which is an emotional father-son bonding. The story unfolds in the backdrop of a massive global event that lasts nine days. What happens over this course of period forms the plot.
Prithviraj plays the role of scientist Albert Lewis and child actor Alok plays his son, Adam. Prakash Raj, Mamta Mohandas, Wamiqa Gabbi, Tony Luke, Rahul Madhav and Adil Ibrahim form the supporting cast.
