It’s a wrap for Aashiq Abu’s Virus after 52 days of shoot
Shoot for the much awaited multi-starrer ‘Virus’ came to an end last day. The team shot together for 52 days. Aashiq Abu is directing the movie which is based on last year’s deadly Nipah outbreak in Kerala. The movie has a star studded cast, probably the biggest that Malayalam cinema has seen after Joshiy’s ‘Twenty 20’.
The cast of ‘Virus’ has Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Kunchacko Boban, Indrajith Sukumaran, Parvathy, Rima Kallingal, Poornima Indrajith, Soubin Shahir, Rahman, Dileesh Pothan, Savitri Sreedharan, Sarasa Balussery, Jinu Joseph, Basil Joseph, Indrans, Remya Nambeeshan, Madonna Sebastian, Sharafudheen, Sreenath Bhasi, Revathy, Joju George, Senthil Krishna, Sudeesh and Vettukili Prakash.
‘Virus’ is scripted jointly by Muhsin Parari of ‘KL 10 Pathu’ fame and Suhas-Sharfu, the writers of ‘Varathan’. Along with star studded cast, the movie also has a strong technical crew, which includes National award winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, Shyju Khalid, music director Sushin Shyam and editor Saiju Sreedharan.
Aashiq Abu and Rima Kallingal are producing the movie under the banner of OPM. ‘Virus’ has been scheduled for April release during the Vishu season.
