Joju George and Chemban Vinod start shooting for Lijo Jose Pellissery’s next after Jallikattu
Post ‘Angamaly Diaries’, there seems to be a new vigour in director Lijo Jose Pelissery as he has been doing back to back films unlike in the past where he used to take long breaks after each film. Even before the release of ‘Jallikattu’, we hear that the shoot of his next film has commenced. Joju George, Chemban Vinod Jose and Arjun Ashokan are starring in the film.
In his near-decade long career, Lijo Jose Pellissery has consciously tried not to be repetitive. All his films belong to different genres and so we can expect this one to be another unique attempt. Shoot is currently progressing in Idukki. Veteran Madhu Neelakandan is said to be the cinematographer. Other details are not yet known.
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated ‘Jallikattu’ is set to have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), which will be held from September 5-15. It has Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinayakan, Santhy Balachandran and Sabumon in major roles.
According to Lijo, ‘Jallikattu’ is a satire told with lot of humour. In the official website of TIFF, it is described as a film presenting a portrait of a remote village in Kerala where a buffalo excapes and causes a frenzy of ecstatic violence. The movie is expected to have its worldwide theatrical release in October.
