Anu Sithra replaces Swathi Reddy in Thrissur Pooram
Shoot for Jayasurya’s ‘Thrissur Pooram’ is currently progressing. Rajesh Mohanan is directing the film and it is being produced by Vijay Babu’s Friday Film House. Composer Ratheesh Vega is debuting as scriptwriter with this movie, which is touted to be an action-packed mass entertainer.
The makers had earlier roped in Swathi Reddy to play the female lead. She was supposed to play Jayasurya’s wife in the film and it was to said to be a very important character. However, the actress has now opted out due to date clashes. She has been replaced by Anu Sithara, with whom Jayasurya had earlier shared screen space in ‘Fukri’ and ‘Captain’. Their husband-wife chemistry in the latter was widely appreciated. The duo is expected to repeat the same this time as well.
As per the makers, ‘Thrissur Pooram’ is a film structured just like the real Pooram festival. It is divided into several chapters each signifying the various stages of the festival. Jayasurya plays a mass character named Pullu Giri. Senthil Krishna of ‘Chalakkudikaran Changathi’ fame reportedly plays the villain. Sabumon Abdusamad, Vijay Babu, Gayathri Arun, Mallika Sukumaran and Sreejith Ravi are also part of the cast.
