As we already know, Rajinikanth is teaming up with director AR Murugadoss for a new film titled ‘Darbar’. The superstar is playing a police officer’s role in the film and that’s the film’s major attraction. His character is named as Aaditya Arunasalam and the veteran looks super stylish as ever. Interestingly, Murugadoss’ father’s name is Arunasalam and his son’s name is Aaditya. So that’s a special connect for the director.

‘Darbar’ is a cop action flick set in Mumbai. Nayanthara is paired with Rajinikanth and Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty plays the villain role. Nivetha Thomas will be seen as Rajinikanth’s daughter. The cast also includes Prateik Babbar, Sriman, Yogi Babu, cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s Yograj Singh and many others.

The film also has a strong technical crew headlined by ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan, composer Anirudh Ravichander and veteran editor Sreekar Prasad. Ram-Laxman duo and Peter Hein are choreographing the stunts. Lyca Productions is producing ‘Darbar’, which has been slated for a Pongal release, next January.
