Gautham Menon plays a negative shaded role in Trance
Anwar Rasheed directorial ‘Trance’ is slated for release this coming Friday (February 14). Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya play the lead roles in the film. It has a huge star cast as well, comprising the likes of Gautham Vasudev Menon, Soubin Shahir, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinayakan, Dileesh Pothan, Arjun Ashokan, Sreenath Bhasi and many others.
Vincent Vadakkan has scripted the film that has Fahadh playing the lead of a motivational trainer named Viju Prasad. The film is centred around his mental and emotional growth at different phases of his life. His journey starts from Kanyakumari and ends in Amsterdam. Each character in the film, accompanies him during phases of his life.
Gautham Menon’s character comes into the picture during Viju Prasad’s life in Mumbai. It is learnt that the filmmaker-turned-actor essays a character with negative shades. Though he has appeared in a cameo role previously in the film ‘Naam’, this is his first attempt in playing a full-length role in Malayalam. It will be interesting to see his performance alongside a competent actor like Fahadh Faasil.
Meanwhile, the makers of ‘Trance’ have hit a roadblock with just a few days left for release. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Thiruvananthapuram has referred the film to the revising committee in Mumbai. The issue is expected to be resolved by Monday.
