First look poster of Parvathy starrer Varthamanam is here!
The first look poster of Parvathy’s new film ‘Varthamanam’ has just been released online. Mammootty, Nivin Pauly and Tovino Thomas have shared the poster through their respective social media handles. The film is directed by actor-turned-filmmaker Sidharatha Siva. National award winner Aryadan Shoukath has scripted it based on the current socio-political issues in the country.
‘Varthamanam’ has Parvathy playing a character named Faiza Sufi. She is a research student at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi. For the last few years, several incidents have occured at the JNU that caught nationwide attention. The film is actually inspired from these events.
Roshan Mathew, who recently won widespread appreciation with his performance ‘Moothon’, plays Parvathy’s romantic interest in ‘Varthamanam’. Siddique will be seen as a college professor named Podhuval. Sudheesh, Nirmal Palazhi, Dain Davis and many other non-Malayali actors are part of the cast.
Veteran Alagappan is cranking the camera and Vinesh Banglan is handling the art department. Aryadan Shoukath is producing the film along with Benazeer of Benzy Productions. It was shot extensively in Delhi, Uttarakhand and some other North Indian states.
