Covid-19: Allu Arjun donates Rs 25 lakhs to Kerala government
As a goodwill gesture, Telugu film star Allu Arjun has contributed a sum of Rs 25 lakhs to help the Kerala government in their flight against the Corona pandemic. He donated the amount to the Chief Minister’s disaster relief fund. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan declared it officially during one of his press meets and thanked the star for his generous contribution. Apart from this, Allu has also donated Rs 50 lakhs each to the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
On the work front, the title and first look poster of Allu Arjun’s new film with Sukumar was released last day on his birthday. Titled as ‘Pushpa’, the film has Allu playing a lorry driver’s role. The first look features him in a rugged, local look. Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi is also said to be playing a prominent role in the film. Rashmika Mandanna has been signed as the female lead. The cast also includes Prakash Raj, Jagapati Babu, Harish Uthaman, Vennela Kishore, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Anish Kuruvilla.
Thanks to the blockbuster success of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, his new film ‘Pushpa’ has been planned to be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
