A major sequence still left to be shot for Mammootty’s One!
Mammootty’s political drama ‘One’ was one of the most expected films of the year. It was initially planned as a Vishu release in April but later got pushed to Onam in August. Even that is still uncertain as the makers are yet to complete shoot of a major portion. An important sequence involving Mammootty and a huge crowd still remains to be shot.
They have planned to shoot the portion by July end but they will be taking a final call depending upon the situation then. Going by the current situation where the number of Covid-19 cases are on the rise, it is still a tough task as the government has laid several restrictions on film shoots. Only very few crew members are allowed at present.
‘One’ is directed by Santhosh Viswanath, who had made his debut with the spoof film ‘Chirakodinja Kinavukal’. Mammootty essays the lead role of Kerala Chief Minister Kadakkal Chandran in the film. Bobby and Sanjay have scripted the film, which is a political thriller inspired from certain real life incidents.
‘One’ has the presence of a huge supporting cast. Joju George, Murali Gopy, Nimisha Sajayan, Sudev Nair, Suresh Krishna, Shanker Ramakrishnan, Alencier Ley Lopez, Mammukoya, Siddique, Balachandra Menon, Salim Kumar, Madhu, Ranjith, Mathew Thomas, Ishaani Krishna, Gayathri Arun, Jayan Cherthala, Balaji Sharma and many others are part of the film.
On the technical front, Vaidy Somasundaram has cranked the camera and music department is handled by Gopi Sunder. Ichais Productions is producing the film and Anto Joseph Film Company will be releasing it in Kerala.
