Master all set for Amazon Prime premiere; Release date announced
Even as ‘Master’ is continuing its successful run in theatres, the makers have announced that the film will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from January 29. The film will be accessible to Prime members in India and across 240 countries and territories.
‘Master’ directed by Lokesh Kangaraj is an action-packed mass flick that has Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi as the leads. The film has Vijay playing a college professor named JD who unexpectedly lands in a juvenile home. Vijay Sethupathi essays the role of an evil gangster named Bhavani, who controls the younng teeangers in the juvenile home which eventually leads to a clash between him and JD. The face-off between the two stars is the film’s major highlight.
‘Master’ got released on January 13 and opened to tremendous reception at the box office. The film has grossed over Rs 200 crore worldwide, with Rs 100 crore from Tamil Nadu alone. Theatre owners and industry insiders are extremely delighted with the film’s performance as it breathed new life to the industry that has been severely hit by the pandemic.
