Watch: Rocketry – The Nambi Effect trailer looks stunning
As informed earlier, the trailer of R Madhavan’s directorial debut ‘Rocketry – The Nambi Effect’ has been released online. It is out in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, English, Kannada and Telugu languages. The film is the biopic of famous scientist Nambi Narayanan. Madhavan himself is playing the lead role. The two-minute-long trailer gives a sneak peak into Nambi Narayanan’s journey as a scientist and his controversial arrest.
‘Rocketry’ is actually based on Nambi Narayanan’s own book ‘Ready to fire: How India and I survived the ISRO spy case’, which details about the controversial case charged against him and his infamous arrest. Nambi Narayanan was the cryogenic division head at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). In 1994, he was falsely charged with espionage and arrested. The charges against him were later squashed by the CBI and the Supreme Court declared him not guilty. The film is expected to have some lesser known details about what behind his arrest.
Simran plays the role of Madhavan’s wife in the film. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a cameo role of a journalist who takes the audience through the protagonist’s journey in flashback. The same character is reprised by Suriya in the Tamil and Telugu version.
