Mohanlal-Prithviraj film Bro Daddy to release on Disney + Hotstar?
Since there is still no confirmation regarding theatres reopening in Kerala, filmmakers continue to be in talks with OTT platforms to release their content. Amazon Prime and Netflix are the two biggest players as of now. Sony Liv recently entered the market with ‘Kaanekaane’, their first Malayalam direct release.
Latest buzz is that Disney + Hotstar is also keen to make their presence felt. Trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai has tweeted that the OTT giant is trying to get ‘Bro Daddy’ as their first major release from Malayalam. The film headlined by the ‘Lucifer’ combo Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran has tremendous expectations among the Malayali audience. Apparently, talks have already been initiated and an official word is awaited anytime soon.
Sreedhar Pillai’s tweet reads,
