Mega star Mammootty was in a pathetic state in the last five years as almost all the films he acted ended up in failures and his star value was decreased to the lowest level possible in those years. If the reports are to believed his films were not made half of the impact of the impact made by the films of some young actors in those five years and during these time even theaters were not showing keen interest to show a Mammootty films as most of the films were below par in the commercial scheme of things.
During this time a film of him came with great hype and expected to be a hit at least with the team behind it and it was ended up as the biggest disaster a super star film has ever seen in mollywood and that film was Gangster conceived by Aashiq Abu. But from last year last part things seems to getting better for Mammootty as his film named ‘Varsham’ got good response at box office even though it was not a big hit. Before that his flick ‘Rajadhiraja’ also got a good initial which was eluding him for some years.
This year beginning also was not a disappointment for him as his ‘Fireman’ somehow manages to get past the breakeven mark and it was really a welcome change for him considering the last 5 five year’s state. Later the mega star is really back with a big hit on this Vishu and it was ‘Bhaskar The Rascal’ which gifted him a much needed success at the mollywood Box office.
Now the sources reporting that mega star is all set to increase his remuneration as his star value is regained from the bottom by the success of his vishu release. The report from sources says that he is going to charge rupess 3.5 crore each film he is going to do. Much to the delight of the star, he has many projects to do this year and the actor had decided to increase his salary owing to large number of offers which comes to him now a days.
