New ‘Progressive Filmmakers Association’ to Reform Malayalam Cinema
In a significant development, prominent Malayalam filmmakers, including Aashiq Abu, Rima Kallingal, Anjali Menon, Lijo Jose Pellissery, and Rajeev Ravi, have come together to form the Progressive Filmmakers Association. The move follows Aashiq Abu’s resignation from the FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala) directors’ union, highlighting the need for systemic changes in the industry.
