Rishab Shetty to Lead Prasanth Varma’s Upcoming Mythological Sequel ‘Jai Hanuman’
The much-anticipated sequel to Hanu-Man is gaining momentum, with exciting developments surfacing. Titled Jai Hanuman, the film will be helmed by Hanu-Man director Prasanth Varma, with Kantara star Rishab Shetty likely to play the lead. Although this news has yet to be officially confirmed, it has already set the internet abuzz, with many eagerly awaiting further announcements.
The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, comes after a reported disagreement with Hanu-Man producer Niranjan Reddy, who was not on board with Prasanth Varma’s remuneration demands of ₹50 crore and a 50% share of the profits. However, Mythri Movie Makers agreed to his terms, ensuring the sequel moves forward with the visionary director at the helm.
Jai Hanuman is expected to delve deeper into the mythological superhero universe that Prasanth Varma is building, expanding upon the massive success of Hanu-Man, which grossed over ₹300 crore at the box office earlier this year. The cinematic universe is inspired by Indian mythology, blending superhero elements with legendary figures.
Prasanth Varma also hinted at including Bollywood actors to broaden the film’s appeal across Indian audiences. Meanwhile, he is also working on another ambitious project centered around Lord Indra, featuring Mokshagna, son of veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. Additionally, Prasanth Varma recently announced Mahakali, a film dedicated to Goddess Kali, further building his mythological cinematic universe.
With Jai Hanuman on the horizon, fans eagerly await to see Rishab Shetty in another powerful role.
