Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Amaran’ Becomes His Biggest Box Office Hit, Crossing ₹150 Crore in Just Five Days

The biographical war action drama Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, has made waves at the box office, becoming a game-changer for Sivakarthikeyan. The film, which celebrates the valor of Major Mukund Varadarajan, has shattered records with a remarkable ₹95.50 crore in domestic earnings in just four days, making it Sivakarthikeyan’s highest-grossing release to date. By the fifth day, Amaran is expected to cross the ₹100 crore mark domestically, setting a new milestone for the actor.

Tamil Nadu has been the movie’s biggest contributor, with a strong ₹66.50 crore gross, and it’s poised to hit ₹100 crore in the state by its second weekend. Beyond Tamil Nadu, Amaran has performed exceptionally in other regions, earning ₹16 crore in the Telugu states, ₹7.50 crore in Karnataka, and ₹4.30 crore in Kerala.

The film has also seen impressive success overseas, grossing around ₹43 crore in its opening weekend, which brings the worldwide total to ₹138.50 crore and already crossed 150 crores worldwide on the 5th day. Already surpassing Sivakarthikeyan’s previous record of Don, Amaran is on track to overtake Indian 2’s total, eyeing the ₹200 crore milestone in its second weekend.
