Tovino Thomas and Biju Menon Likely to Join NTR Jr and Prashanth Neel’s Big-Budget Film ‘Dragon’
Malayalam stars Tovino Thomas and Biju Menon are reportedly set to star in Dragon, the highly anticipated Telugu film directed by Prashanth Neel and headlined by NTR Jr. Tentatively titled Dragon or #NTR31, the big-budget project will begin shooting on January 16, 2025, with its release date already locked for January 9, 2026.
Prashanth Neel, known for his blockbuster films like KGF and Salaar, continues his trend of casting Malayalam talent, following Prithviraj Sukumaran’s role in Salaar. Reports suggest a potential crossover between the two films. Dragon will feature Rukmini Vasanth, a rising star from Kannada cinema, as the female lead.
For Tovino Thomas, this film marks his Telugu debut. The Minnal Murali actor, whose latest release Identity is currently in theatres, previously hinted at exploring Telugu cinema during promotions for his 3D fantasy film Ajayante Randam Moshanam. Biju Menon, on the other hand, returns to Telugu films after nearly two decades.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Dragon will be released in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, making it one of the most ambitious projects of the year. Fans eagerly await official confirmation of the cast.
