“Oru Pre Degree Kaalam Kinakkalam”: Moonwalk Drops a Nostalgic Melody from the 80s
The makers of Moonwalk, the much-awaited nostalgic Malayalam film directed by debutant Vinod A.K., have unveiled a soul-stirring video song titled “Oru Pre Degree Kaalam Kinakkalam”, a melodic ode to the golden days of youthful dreams and carefree friendships. Sung by the ever-so-soothing Shahabaz Aman along with Hanan Shaah, the track beautifully captures the emotional essence of growing up in the pre-digital 80s. The song serves as a nostalgic flashback for anyone who lived through that era, evoking images of bicycle rides, shared cassette players, and schoolyard dreams.
Composed, arranged, and programmed by the brilliant Prashant Pillai, with lyrics penned by Vinayak Sasikumar, the song blends warmth and retrospection into a musical journey that resonates across generations. The choreography by Sreejit P Dazzlers adds an authentic flair to the visuals, while the art direction by Sabu Mohan and costumes by Dhanya Balakrishnan effortlessly recreate the colorful spirit of the 80s. The video also features captivating cinematography by Ansar Shah and seamless editing by Deepu Joseph and Kiran Das, making it a visual as well as musical treat.
Presented by Lijo Jose Pellisserry and backed by Listin Stephen and Jasni Ahamad under Magic Frames, Moonwalk is gearing up for a theatrical release on May 30. The song release sets the tone for what the film promises to deliver—a heartfelt celebration of life, music, friendships, and dreams from a time gone by. With Moonwalk’s retro vibes and real emotions, “Oru Pre Degree Kaalam Kinakkalam” stands out as not just a song but a time machine that transports viewers back to their childhoods.
