Love Action Drama enters Rs 50 crore club, declares Nivin Pauly
The Nivin Pauly-Nayanthara starrer ‘Love Action Drama’ (LAD) has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark. The makers officially announced it by releasing a teaser online. Hitting screens earlier this month during the Onam season, LAD got mixed reviews from the critics. But the general audience seem to have taken up the film as it did well both in the Kerala box office and RoI centers like Banglaore and Chennai.

‘LAD’ marks the directorial debut of Dhyan Sreenivasan. The film had high we expectations prior to its release itself as it was the first time Nivin and Nayanthara were coming together. Nivin, especially, was back to his usual self, as the guy-next-door lover boy.
The film also had a big supporting cast comprising of Aju Varghese, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Dhanya Balakrishnan, Sreenivasan, Renji Panicker, Mallika Sukumaran, Motta Rajendran, Basil Joseph and Durga Krishna among others. Jomon T John and Roby Varghese Raj’s cinematography and Shaan Rahman’s lively music helped a great deal in covering the blips.
Overall, it is a blockbuster maiden venture for the newly launched banner, Funtastic Films headed by Aju Varghese and Vishak Subramaniam.
