Jenuse Muhammad’s maiden venture 100 days of love starring Dulquer Salmaan, Shekhar Menon and Nithya Menon had opened to mixed reviews from all over. It been getting above average response from romantic film lovers and had started off well in box office as far as the collections is concerned. The film had got 1.22 cr in the opening day itself and it was indeed a great start taking into consideration that it was an exam season.
The film is slowly but steadily going to a hit status. It may not become a super hit or Mega hit as there are many big projects are all set to release this season which vishu festival as well as summer vacation season. Anyway further going forward of this film will surely depend on the coming ones. The opening made by 100 days of love in its very first day can be termed as a bumper opening when consider it as a young actor film without a super or mega stars in it. But after taking a great opening of 1.22 cr on the first day the film had slowed down a bit in the second day in some sectors.
But when it is considered in an overall viewpoint it still did very good. And the film on its third day again showed a good and healthy growth in collections and thereby made 3.25 cr as the 3 days gross collection and it is somewhat equal to any great opening a young actor film ever get in mollywood. From the overall gross collections, the share which the film has got in 3 days is around 1.46 crores and it can be consider as a great share when we consider it is an exam season release and lack of big stars in it.
It also shows the consistency of Dulquer Salmaan when it comes to opening as his every films assures a good opening weekend owing to his influence on youth and also thanks to the fans of his father Mammootty which helps him to secure a good opening weekend at box office. And if the pattern of collection graph of this film will go forward, 100days of love will cross the mark of 2 cr share before the competition gets tough with Vishu releases.
