Aanandam is now a super hit
Aanandam starring seven new comers in the lead was released last month. The movie was opened to good reviews from the critics and the common audience.
This small movie is entering its 6th week from the release. It is still continuing its successful run screening in around 30 theatres in the state.
Aanandam was written and directed by debutant Ganesh Raj who had previously worked as an assistant to directors like Vineeth Sreenivasan and Anjali Menon.
The movie told the story of a group of students from an engineering college who are on a trip as part of their Industrial Visit.
Malayali audience welcomed this movie even with the absence of a big name in the cast or crew. Youngsters especially thronged the theatres in large numbers and spread the word of mouth.
After the good initial response, Aanandam was extended to more theatres. It was released outside Kerala in centres like Bangalore, Mangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Pune.
Aanandam was a light hearted entertainer with soothing music and some beautiful visuals.
Anend C Chandran was the Director of Photography while Sachin Warrier composed the music.
Vineeth Sreenivasan debuted as a producer through this movie co-producing it along with Vinod Shornur under the banners Habit of Life and Cast n Crew.
