Akshay Kumar back in action avatar for Sooryavanshi
Akshay Kumar’s new cop flick ‘Sooryavanshi’ directed by Rohit Shetty is currently on the floors. The movie has Akshay, the khiladi, back in action. He is performing some daredevil stunts in the movie. The makers have released a couple of stills featuring Akshay doing a bike chase and a helicopter stunt. The actor had been away from doing action flicks for the last few years and it looks like fans are in a for a definite treat this time.
‘Sooryavanshi’ has Akshay Kumar playing an anti-terrorist squad officer. Katrina Kaif is paired with him in the movie while ‘Badhaai Ho’ fame Neen Gupta will be seen as his. It is also reported that the movie will also have cameo appearances by Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh. Director Rohit Shetty has created a police cinematic universe of his own with films like ‘Singham’, ‘Singham Returns’ and ‘Simmba’.
While Ajay Devgn stars in the ‘Singham’ series, ‘Simmba’ had Ranveer Singh in the lead. Like how Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn made guest appearances as police officers in ‘Simmba’, ‘Sooryavanshi’ is expected to have the coming together of three.
