AR Murugadoss unveils the first look poster of Tovino’s debut Tamil movie
One of Mollywood’s most promising actors, Tovino Thomas is foraying into Kollywood with an upcoming bilingual directed by BR Vijayalakshmi. Official first look poster of the movie was unveiled today by ace director AR Murugadoss. The filmmaker shared the first look poster of both the Tamil and Malayalam verisons through his official Facebook page.
The Malayalam version has been titled as Abhiyude Kadha Anuvinteyum and the Tamil version is titled as Abhiyum Anuvum. Lead actors Tovino and Pia Bajapi feature in the poster. Director BR Vijayalakshmi is noted for being Asia’s first woman cinematographer. She has worked in several films as DOP and has also scripted the Malayalam movie Daddy, which had Arvind Swamy in the lead.
This upcoming bilingual is tipped to be romantic film based on a real life incident that happened in Latin America. Udayabanu Maheshwaran has penned the story and screenplay for this movie. Veteran actors Prabhu, Suhasini Mani Ratnam and Rohini will be seen in prominent roles.
Shoot for the movie has already been completed and it was shot extensively in various parts of Kerala and Chennai. Vikram Mehra and BR Vijayalakshmi are jointly funding this movie under the banner of Yoodlee Films. Ace cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Santhosh Sivan is serving as an executive producer. The movie is slated to hit screens on September 22.
Tovino is currently riding on a string on successful films like Oru Mexican Aparatha and Godha. This upcoming movie will be his first attempt in playing a full length romantic character and will be hoping to continue his rich form.
